The rapid mobile phone technology has a positive impact with the ease in communication. On the other hand this technology proved to have a negative impact especially on children and adolescents.

Negative impacts arising from mobile phone use of children and adolescents is a time when hours of sleep at night they do not turn off his cell phone at least 1 hour before bed, so for those who continue to play with his mobile phone may have trouble focusing attention and hyperactivity that may affect achievement learning.

In a study conducted on 40 teenagers who was about 14.5 years, patients from JFK Medical Center Laboratory in New Jersey, revealed that 77 percent of teens who keep the cell phone experience insomnia. In the overnight average of 34 teens send email or SMS from cell phone and most of it carried out during 10 minutes after the room lights turned off.

According to Dr. Peter Polos as quoted by USA Today, said that in one night every adolescent is able to send SMS at least to four of his friends, so naturally if they can not sleep so they will definitely get a reply from each SMS they send.

Doctors Polos continued that from his research it was not yet proven because this is a preliminary study, but the risks posed are clearly having connectedness.
